New combined paper vs the old taxi test

This page is about paper shape, not live questions. It is not an official paper. If a number here disagrees with the latest notice, the Department wins.
The combined written test (current)
- Part A — 30 questions: knowledge (~20), places (~9), route (~1). Published pass line ≥25.
- Part B — 35 questions: Road Users’ Code. Published pass line ≥30.
- About 45 minutes in one sitting; Part A then Part B; both parts must pass.
- Centre computers offer Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or English.
Older taxi written tests (still in other apps / notes)
- Many older materials still say Part A is 40 questions — do not map that onto the 2026 combined paper.
- Older banks often omit ride-hailing operations (fleets, platforms, points).
- Part B is still the Code, but the combined sitting binds both parts: a high Part A score with a failed Part B is not a pass.
How this unofficial app lines up
- Combined mock follows 30+35 / 45 minutes; no skip into Part B.
- Mocks do not draw basics (basics stay in study mode).
- Optional ride-hail-weighted paper: same length, knowledge items prefer ride-hailing operations (details).
- In-app “pass” is practice only — not an official result.
